Girls

• Skort (Grades 1-4 MANDATORY) - Must be purchased from Sunshine School Uniforms.

• Skirts (Grades 5-8)-Must be purchased from Sunshine School Uniforms.  Skirt length should be appropriate, no more than 3 inches above the knee, measured while the student is kneeling. Girls will wear gym shorts under uniform at all times.

• Skort (Grades 5-8 OPTIONAL) - Must be purchased from Sunshine School Uniforms.

• Shirts (Grades 1-8)-New uniform Hunter Green golf style knit shirt (pique weave only).  These may be purchased from Sunshine School Uniforms.

• Solid white or navy socks, over the ankle.  No sports/athletic socks. No logos. Navy tights with navy socks are allowed on cold days.

• Appropriate school shoes-black, brown, dark navy (non-making) oxford lace up.  No boots, canvas or athletic shoes.  Stacked heels, platform soles, open-toe or open-back shoes are not allowed.

• The school discourages the wearing of jewelry and therefore accepts no responsibility for lost or broken jewelry.  One watch and one pair of earrings (no larger than the earlobe) are allowed.  One simple bracelet, necklace, or ring is allowed.  Students wearing jewelry which causes a distraction in class will be asked to remove it.

• Uniform sweatshirts with school logo from M.M. Grinnan Company only. San Jose Catholic School reserves the right to deny a sweatshirt to be worn, if it is oversized and sloppy.

• Make-up of any kind and nail polish are not permitted.

• No fad hair styles.

• P.E. Uniforms-Grades 1-8-special shorts and T-shirts.  These must be purchased from the Coach or the Booster Club.

• On cold days, solid navy or solid grey sweats may be worn over the P.E. Uniform.  Uniform sweatshirts with school logo from M.M. Grinnan Company may also be worn for P.E.

Boys

• Grades 1-8.  Navy dress pants (no corduroy, no topstitching).  Pants must be worn with a belt and must be worn fitted at the waist.

• Grades 1-8.  New Uniform shirt.  Hunter Green golf style shirt (pique weave only).  May be purchased from Sunshine School Uniforms.

• Hair must not touch eyes, ears, or collar.  Hair must be tapered, neat, clean, and well-groomed.  Partially shaven or dread-lock style hair cuts are not permitted.  No long hair slicked back.  No fad hair styles. Sideburns may be extend below mid-ear. Boys must be clean shaven.  Mustaches and facial hair are not permitted.
